Visiting Japan
Fuji Sengen Shrine I've visited Japan twice now, and still want to go again. I fell in love with Kyoto, the ancient capital, the first time I stepped onto its temple-dotted streets. There is nowhere else like it. And if you're interested in animé or technology Tokyo is the place to go. It's a cliche that Japan is a land of contrasts but that absolutely true - both between old and new Japan, and between there and Britain. They've been cut off from each other for thousands of years so there are many differences but also some surprising parallels. Here's some photos from my first trip, more to come soon...

On my second time I went with my friend Justin Palmer. He also went there before, here's his collection of advice and experiences from his first visit with a few photos.
